NexWafe
NexWafe designs, develops and pilots a proprietary process to produce ultra-thin, high-efficiency, n-type mono green solar wafers, making photovoltaics more sustainable and efficient. Fully compatible with conventional cell manufacturing, NexWafe’s process reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 70%. NexWafe’s continuous, direct gas-to-wafer manufacturing minimizes kerf loss, resulting in wafers that are thinner and more efficient than conventional wafers. NexWafe’s in-line, ultra-scalable process extends PV solar’s cost-down roadmap and helps bring forward the energy transition. The company was spun out from Fraunhofer ISE in 2015.

Runergy
The Runergy Group founded in 2013,is recognized as one of the industry’s most innovative technology companies, ranked among the top three globally for cell shipments for three consecutive years from 2020 to 2022. As of the end of 2022, the company’s global production capacity for large-size high-efficiency cells exceeded 25GW, with a module capacity of 3GW, the latter planned to reach 19GW during 2023. Trina Solar
Founded in 1997, Trina Solar is a world leading provider of integrated solutions for photovoltaic (PV) smart energy. It is mainly engaged in research and development, production and sales of PV modules, power stations and system products, PV power generation and operation and maintenance services, plus development and sales of intelligent microgrids and multi-energy systems, as well as the operation of energy cloud platforms. In June 2020, Trina Solar was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), becoming the first company providing PV products and systems as well as smart energy to have gone public on the platform.

The major international manufacturers of crystalline and thin-film solar modules use our highly productive equipment for their production. We are also cooperating closely with them to develop the next generation of modules.
We have acquired an excellent process know-how based on the more than 300 coating systems we have installed for crystalline solar cells and thin-film solar module providers. This expertise has been incorporated into the development of coating systems for the next generations of high-efficiency solar cells.
